CV of Dr med. Insa Koné

Expertise/ Research field: Insa Koné is a medical doctor currently specializing as General Practitioner. She is Post-doc at the Institute for Biomedical Ethics at the University of Basel and working on the project “Inpatient-outpatient transitions in the era of DRGs: the legal framework and current practice”. She has worked on several other projects in health services research, particularly on cancer care in General Practice and Screening for familial colorectal cancer. She has sound teaching experience in General Practice (lectures and seminars).

Main Publications: Insa Koné constantly publishes her research work in national and international journals (BMC Cancer, Family Practice, Gesundheitswesen, Zeitschrift für Allgemeinmedizin) and presents her results at conferences. 

Awards/Memberships: Insa Koné held a student-scholarship of Konrad-Adenauer Stiftung from 2007 to 2010. In 2015 she was nominated for the Felix-Burda-Award with the research project „Positive history of familial colorectal cancer in General Practice (FRIDA.Frankfurt)“. She is member of the German College of General Practitioners and Family Physicians (DEGAM).

 Stations of work: Insa Koné completed her medical studies and her doctor’s degree at the university of Greifswald/Germany. After one and a half year of residency in internal medicine at the district hospital Rheinfelden/Germany, she became fellow researcher at the Institute of General Practice at the university of Frankfurt am Main/Germany. Since 09/2016, she has been working at the Institute for Biomedical Ethics at the university Basel.
