In november 2023 Andrea Martani received an award (Dissertationsauszeichnung) from the Medical Faculty of the University of Basel for his thesis titled “The datafication of Swiss healthcare and biomedical research: ethical and legal issues and the way forward for health data governance” as one of the best dissertations submitted in 2020/2021. The work was supervised, amongst others by PD Tenzin Wangmo and Prof. Bernice Elger of the IBMB and the full text of the PhD thesis is available here.
