Basel-Oxford-NUS BioXPhi Summit 2025
The 2025 edition of the Experimental philosophical bioethics ("BioXPhi") Summit will be held in Basel from June 26th to 27th, 2025.
For this occasion, we are pleased to welcome as keynote speakers Dr. Matti Wilks from the University of Edinburgh, and Dr. Edmond Awad from the University of Exeter and University of Oxford. This conference is co-organized by the Institute for Biomedical Ethics of the University of Basel, the Uehiro Oxford Institute of the University of Oxford, and the Centre for Biomedical Ethics - Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore.
BioXPhi uses the tools of cognitive science, moral psychology, and experimental philosophy to investigate topics that are traditionally of interest to bioethicists, with an eye to contributing to substantive normative debates in medical ethics and related areas. Example papers can be found at the PhilPapers page for experimental philosophy: bioethics.
