Sophie Ayoub is a PhD student in Biomedical Ethics at the University of Basel, Switzerland, with a background in anesthesiology. She previously worked as a chief medical resident in anesthesiology at the American University of Beirut Medical Center and an anesthesiology fellow at the Centre Hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal. She holds an MD from Saint Joseph University, Lebanon, and has further specialized in pain management and anesthesiology. Her research focuses on ethical issues in healthcare, particularly in rare diseases and children, with publications in leading journals.
