CV of Hannah Assunta Bolt

Hannah Bolt is a Registered Midwife in Australia and has been deeply engaged in supporting women through their antenatal, birth and postnatal period and fostering a strong commitment to patient-centred practice. Her interest in the ethical and legal dimensions of healthcare led her to pursue a Master in Health Law at the University of Sydney, where her research and thesis focused on the ethical challenges surrounding requiring consent for vaginal birth.

Building on this foundation, Hannah is now a doctoral student and research assistant at the Institute for Biomedical Ethics (IBMB). She is currently working on the project ‘INCLUDE’ which is part of the SNF-NRP 80 ‘COVID-19 in society’ on the topic of loneliness and social isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her present research examines loneliness and its broader ethical implication for health and well-being with a specific emphasis on postpartum loneliness.
