Aoife Milford began her studies at Dublin City University where she gained her Bachelor’s degree specialising in Chemistry with Physics and Education. She then moved on to Oxford University where she gained her Master’s degree education studies. She has fourteen years teaching sciences at international schools in Oxford and Basel. She is now working at Basel University as a PhD student in the field of biomedical ethics focussing on animal ethics and in particular, harm benefit analyses for ethical review and 3R implementation.

Her research interests include moral distress and decision making.
