Annika Rohrmoser completed her studies in Clinical Psychology in Germany, Switzerland, and Spain, with a special interest in the interactions of somatic and mental illnesses. Following her Master's degree, she pursued training to become an analytic psychotherapist at University Hospital Freiburg im Breisgau (Germany). She gained clinical experience in a psychosomatic clinic and a palliative care ward before commencing her PhD at the Institute for Biomedical Ethics at the University of Basel.

Among her diverse research interests are (queer)feminist perspectives, questions related to discrimination in medical and psychotherapeutic care, death wishes in psychotherapy and palliative care as well as unionizing efforts within the health care sector.
