PhD Defense of Avishek Pal
We are proud to announce that Avishek Pal successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled "Can medical research information in plain language support people with multiple sclerosis to better understand and manage their health" on 24 March 2026.
The thesis explored how plain language resources influence patient self-care practices in chronic conditions such as multiple sclerosis. And, it used a multi-modular approach to proposed actionable recommendations to enable an equitable, trustworthy, patient-centered medical information ecosystem.
