Nathalie Bettina Neeser is a PhD candidate at the Institute for Biomedical Ethics Basel (IBMB) at the University of Basel, Switzerland. She has a background in Social Anthropology and Gender Studies and obtained a Master of Arts in Social Anthropology from the University of Bern, Switzerland in 2021. In her master thesis, she ethnographically explored the selective aesthetics and tools of inclusion and exclusion in the normative field of Artistic Swimming. Nathalie has extensive experiences in different fields. As a former competitive swimmer, she regularly teaches swimming to people at different ages and levels. In 2017 she co-founded the interactive talk-format “Science Talk”, enabling researchers to reach a broad audience to discuss their research, students to present their interests and the audience to gain insights into new themes. Since then, she also worked in two NGOs and has experience as a project leader and a fundraising officer. Her interests mainly focus on forms or regulating bodies. Nathalie is currently working on the SNF founded project “Family Building at Advanced Parental Age: An Interdisciplinary Approach”.
