Artificial Intelligence in Hospital and Elder Care
During this one-day workshop, the learnings of EXPLaiN and RESOURCE projects will be presented. We will bring together a group of experts to present their specific work on the same topics with the goal of enhancing the information gained from the two NRP-77 projects. The symposium is important in light of the development and adoption of new technologies that are AI-based in healthcare contexts, which are becoming ever more widespread. Such disruptive nature of AI requires careful ethical consideration. Through this symposium, we will promote discussions with different stakeholders (e.g. health professionals, patients, tech users) on the topic by gathering their opinions and expectations. Understanding their preeminent challenges is crucial. This workshop will thus connect researchers, people caring for patients and older persons, and end-users of AI technologies. It will further support the research teams to delineate good practices where new technologies are being introduced in the Swiss healthcare systems.
