Guideline Development: METAP

METAP stands for Modular, Ethics, Therapy decisions, Allocation and Process.

Medical, nursing and therapeutical efforts for patients may raise issues, uncertainties or conflicts within clinical teams. Studies give evidence for an increased risk of under, over or unequal treatment in certain groups of patients; especially if the decision processes take place informally and situational. This might stress those people working in the clinic.

METAP serves as support for ethically appropriate therapy decisions by offering specific orientation and decision guidance.
